The Department is a structural unit of the DSUJ of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, providing educational process, educational, methodological, research work and other activities in the field of criminal procedure, criminalistics and prosecutorial supervision.
The Department graduates students according to the program of training fields 40.03.01 Jurisprudence (criminal law profile) and 40.04.01 Jurisprudence, program: criminal law and process, criminalistics (forensics) in law enforcement.
DEPARTMENT MISSION
The Department sees its mission (goal) in the formation and satisfaction of the intellectual, scientific, educational and moral needs of the individual, society and the state.
The Department aims to generate innovative knowledge in the fields of criminal procedure and criminology, integrating it into the scientific and educational activities of the University, which enables the training of highly qualified legal professionals who are prepared to solve various practical issues in criminal proceedings and criminological investigations, regardless of their future workplace (court, advocacy, prosecutor's office, other law enforcement agencies, etc.), by providing students with high-quality fundamental knowledge in basic disciplines of the Department, taking into account modern law enforcement practices and doctrinal approaches.
TASKS OF THE DEPARTMENT:
- to promote high-quality training of highly professional specialists and scientific personnel capable of setting and solving relevant scientific and socio-economic tasks;
- to participate actively in the development of the Russian legal system;
- to train and educate a new generation of lawyers at various levels based on the principles of high professionalism, patriotism, national solidarity and the intrinsic value of continuous education;

to generate and disseminate new knowledge in the field of criminal proceedings and criminalistics at various levels, not only in the Russian space, but also at the international level (primarily among the CIS countries).
