The Department is a structural unit of the DSUJ of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, which provides the educational process, educational, methodological, research and other activities in the fields of moral and psychological support for the lawyer's activities, speech competencies of a lawyer, as well as basic competencies in philosophy, sociology and other socio-humanitarian and special disciplines.

DEPARTMENT MISSION:
Training a graduate with knowledge of the humanities, social sciences, possessing the necessary level to solve socio-communicative tasks in various fields of activity. Implementation of effective methods and techniques of teaching students, allowing them to form all types of competencies, taking into account innovative trends in domestic education and make them in demand in the labor market. Humanitarian education is designed to form a scientific worldview, value orientations and life positions of student youth.
TASKS OF THE DEPARTMENT:
- practical implementation of the requirements of regulatory and legal documents of the Federal legislation in the educational process;
- ensuring high quality of organization and implementation of all types of educational classes using innovative pedagogical teaching methods that contribute to the development of creative thinking of students;
- introduction of new information technologies into the educational process, development of electronic educational content;
- improving the quality of the developed educational and methodological materials, improving the information and methodological support of the educational process;
- developing and improving students' independence in solving scientific problems, deepening and consolidating the knowledge acquired during training;
- training students in the methodology, methods and techniques for independently solving current scientific problems;
- increasing the practical focus of the scientific research;
- improvement of the educational and material base of the Department.
